Cut brings together work by three artists who blend illustration, printing, and collage. The title of the show references the techniques for creating handmade prints and applying cut paper pieces, as well as the editorial process of each artist. Consider the colour, line, composition, and layering involved to arrive at a final image. Contrasting styles yet complimentary themes, colours and a sense of something poetic unites their artwork.
All work is for sale. Enquiries and offers welcome.
About the Artists:
Zoe Ansari is a print maker, illustrator and stone carver based in Girton. Often richly patterned, her work is evocative of folk art and heraldry which, along with a love of nature, has inspired it. Each piece tells its own story.

Laura Chaplin is a Cambridge-based fine art printmaker, specialising in screen printing without a frame. Her multilayered monoprints, each one unique, have an ephemeral quality and balance clear images with deliberate obfuscation.
