Abstract Expressions, H A G’s inaugural show, features the work of team members Emily Jolley and Karen Jinks. Paintings by both artists make use of gestural mark making, layering and a variety of media. The resulting art works are joyful and vibrant abstract compositions that bring colour and interest to any interior. All featured work is for sale.
About the artists:
Emily Jolley, founder and Director of H A G, is a fine artist who specialises in expressive abstract paintings incorporating emulsion paints. Featured paintings exude the joy of mark-making, balancing chaos with composition, and are inspired by the natural world. Emily lives and works in Huntingdon.
Karen Jinks, a key member of the H A G team, is a professional artist, designer and illustrator. The vibrant collages and paintings included in this show are inspired by experiencing and observing moments in the landscape. Every playful work sings with texture and colour. Karen lives and works in Cambridge.
